~Happy Halloween and Simple & Sweet Fridays #139~

I wanted to share some photos of our house decorated for Halloween.
I can hear little trick-or-treaters coming to the door.
Lots of candy for their bags.
Can't wait to see their costumes!
The excitement in their faces.
I have the miniature house decorated.
The lights are on and the ghost is waiting!!
I have out the black and white runner for the table.
The silver pumpkins sparkling in the light.
I'll put out my black and white pillows to add to the halloween theme.
A glass pumpkin in the kitchen shining the last of sunlight.
The Halloween trees on the mantle for a Halloween season look.
A pretty teal pumpkin accenting the Patisserie sign.
My mannequin lit up with twinkling lights.
Hope you all have a Happy Halloween with family and friends!

~Lace Brownies, Pumpkins & Halloween Goodies~

I wanted to make some brownies for Halloween
with Carly and we saw this idea online.
We love brownies and just bought a mix at the store.
I found some lace in the fabric box.
Sprinkled some powdered sugar on them.
They look like little pieces of Chocolate Art!
~Pumpkin Vignette with Lace~
Martha Stewart has a Halloween kit
using lace to decorate pumpkins.
I found it at Michael's.
They look so elegant!!
When we were in London we went shopping at London's,
St. Pancras International Train Station.
Fortnum and Mason has food, wine and gifts.
Wonderful store with lots of delicious treats
for Halloween!

Loved all their displays!

Halloween is almost here!

~Fall Garden & Succulent Pumpkin Centerpieces and Simple & Sweet Fridays #138~

I wanted to share with you the gifts I made for my girlfriends.
~Succulent Pumpkin Centerpieces~
I went to Trader Joe's and found just the
right size pumpkins for the centerpieces.
I sprayed the center of the pumpkins with some adhesive spray.
I then added sphagnum moss I bought from a local nursery.
We have succulents growing in our garden,
so I just picked some different varieties.
I then glued them down with a hot glue gun. I read about this technique from designer Laura Eubanks. She had been a guest on a video featuring garden photojournalist, Debra Lee Baldwin.
I loved how they all turned out.
An hour or two of morning sun and misting will give you a beautiful
Fall Succulent Pumpkin Centerpiece.
I also made some bite size Spice Muffins.
Wrapped up with a cute tag.
Just the right gifts for special friends.
In the garden we picked our carrots, pumpkins and fresh eggs from the chicken coop.
I also stopped by the nursery and picked up some different ornamental cabbages.
I love the different color greens and purples in the garden.
I couldn't resist some stock too, love the beautiful scent.
I saw the chickens were exploring today.
Doria and Lucy like the ornamental cabbage too!!
Hope you're all enjoying Fall in your gardens!
