Poppy

I was watering the garden today and noticed this beautiful poppy. The color was so red and then I saw the inside. It's so similar to the shape of a wheel. How can that be possible? It's the beauty of nature. Take the thyme in your garden!

  1. My daughter is a math teacher, so I know why this occurs. It's the mathematical rules of the Fibonacci numbers. The Fibonacci sequence determines the patterns of everything in nature, from the number of petals in a flower species, to the arrangement of bracts on a pinecone or pineapple. The Golden ratio, based on the numbers, creates the beauty that we see. Most people don't look closely enough to notice, but those who appreciate natural beauty will pay attention to those little details.
